Work-life balance is important, but you might have to go far to find it. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

The pandemic has changed a lot about the way we live, especially when and where we work. People want to work remotely and aren’t willing to pour all their time and energy into a job. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be a trend catching on here at home. According to a new report of the top ten world cities that offer the best work-life balance, not a single US city made the cut. The closest is the North American city of Ottawa which made number seven. The ranking looked at three general themes: work intensity such as vacation days and parental leave, society, and institutions such as quality of healthcare and city liveability such as outdoor spaces and air quality. So where should you consider relocating? From five to one the best cities are Copenhagen, Zurich, Helsinki, Bern, and Oslo. Besides Ottawa, the rest of the top ten includes Geneva, Sydney, Stuttgart, and Munich. At least if you’re lucky enough to work remotely, you know where to go. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
