You might want to work from home, but your manager feels different. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Good hire is a self-service background check platform designed to make it easier for companies to find out a little more about the people they’re hiring. Recently the company did a survey of thirty-five hundred managers to get their feelings about remote work, return-to-office mandates and their preferred working model. Among the people who responded, 77% percent said they would be willing to take action against employees who demanded to work fully remotely. According to MSN money those actions include firing them, pay cuts, loss of promotion opportunities, loss of benefits and loss of paid time off. On the other hand, 60% of all managers agreed incentives were a good way to get people back in the office. This includes things such as snacks, lunches, parties and happy hours. Some would even consider offering childcare options at the office. The reasons for not wanting people to work from home, a lack of focus, company culture and overall productivity. Like working from home, but you might not have work to do. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
