Listen Now: A Match Made In Heaven: House Wine & Cheez-Its Pair Up

House Wine brand and Cheez-It are pairing up on a new product that is one part red wine and one part Cheez-It crackers all wrapped up in one package. Called the perfect wine to bring out the hints of real cheese in the snack, the red blend is a mix of Cabernet and Merlot. A combination, the company says was carefully chosen by its winemaker.
A marketing director for kellogg’s snack division, which makes cheez-it crackers, says the pairing seemed like the obvious way to go. He says so many customers are already exploring different wines with the snack the company decided to suggest a wine complement of its own.
To make it easier the wine and Cheez-Its come in one easy package. This means no corkscrew or cheese plate required, things people usually forget when they pack for their picnic.
But you might want to think twice about bringing it on your next wine tasting tour, not a lot of vineyards take kindly to wine from a box.
