Weed Laced Wedding
Listen Now: Weed Laced Wedding
It’s not unusual to be served bad food at a wedding, it is unusual to be drugged. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
A Florida bride and her caterer are facing felony charges after lacing the food at the wedding with marijuana. Police say there were 30 to 40 people at the wedding. Some of the food being served up included chocolate-covered strawberries, pudding and lasagna. But soon after ingesting it, guests began feeling sick. A number of them reported feeling high and were taken to the hospital for treatment, Where they tested positive for THC. One guest told sheriff deputies she asked the bride if there was marijuana in the food and the bride said “yes.” Another woman told a local reporter she slept in her car at the wedding site because she did not feel well enough to drive. She also said that she thought she was having a heart attack. The bride and caterer are facing charges of reckless tampering, negligence and possessing marijuana. Both have posted bond. No word on whether the groom knew anything or if it will be till drugs do us part. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
