Want people to get vaccinated, give them an incentive. I’m Brian Banmiller on business.

Israel is making headlines, thanks to its efforts to vaccinate its population. And there might be a reason so many people are signing up. A bar in Tel Aviv is doubling as a vaccine clinic and anyone who gets a shot gets a drink. But there was a catch. Because of possible side-effects, the drinks are non-alcoholic. Still, the owner says people appreciate a freebie and, in some cases, they stuck around and bought more drinks. So everyone wins. In Michigan, they’re taking it up a notch. A marijuana store is offering pot for shots. Anyone who shows up with proof of a covid-nineteen vaccination gets a free pre-rolled joint. The promotion was going to end this weekend but is so popular it has been extended through the end of March. The owner says so far more than four thousand people have taken advantage of the deal. He says the promotion is a way to reach out to existing and potential new customers to raise vaccine awareness. Certainly, takes the sting out of a shot. Brian Banmiller, CBS news.
