Consider yourself a history buff, why not purchase a little? I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Right now, a number of items from past presidents are up for sale at r-r auction. Some of the mementos on the block include a lock of George and Martha Washington’s hair. The clippings were passed down through their grandniece’s family and include documentation. Last year the same auction house sold a lock of lincoln’s hair for eighty-one thousand dollars. It came with an extra piece of history though since it was wrapped in a bloodstained telegraph announcing his assassination. When it comes to the sixteenth president for this auction, buyers can bid on a signed picture of Lincoln and his son’s tad. John f. Kennedy’s crimson Harvard sweater is also up for sale. It was acquired by a c-b-s cameraman who filmed an interview with Jackie the year after her husband was killed. The cameraman says the former first lady’s staffers brought him the sweater when he said he was cold. They allowed him to keep it as a memento. The auction runs through February eighteenth.
