Unemployed? Here’s How You Should Be Spending Your Days

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Are you unemployed? Here’s how you should be spending your hours.

How you spend your time when looking for a job can determine how successful you are when you actually land one. Career experts say you should approach a job search like you would a nine to five work schedule.

But that’s doesn’t mean searching and applying for eight hours straight. Instead you should give yourself a to do list every day. Things such as updating your cover letter, sending out your resume to a certain number of places and finding at least five new companies to contact. By completing these to do lists you won’t feel like your time is being wasted.

You should also factor in time for duties such as working out and learning something new. And don’t forget to take breaks. Nothing will burn you out faster than spending all day, every day in front of a computer screen. You don’t want to hate the idea of working before you actually start.

Another idea is to assign certain tasks to certain days, and hopefully it will all end with a paycheck.
