Prince Harry and his wife have a new address… but who’s footing the bill?
In case you missed it, the royals formally known as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have packed their bags and left London. And they have left their posts as senior members of the royal family.
At first the two and their young son took up residence in Canada but now it seems they’re calling Los Angeles home. But here’s where the welcoming committee laid down a few rules. Shortly after news broke that they were coming to America, President Trump tweeted the U.S. will not be paying for their private security. In response, a spokesperson for the couple say they have no plans to use the country’s resources, instead they’ve made private security arrangements.
This follows controversy that The Royal Canadian Mounted Police were providing security to the couple. President Trump tweeted that while he is a great friend of the queen, he has no plans to provide security for her grandson and his family.
It appears the newly minted L.A. residents are on their own.
