Listen Now: Too Much WFH? Employees Petition To Go Back To The Office
[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]
For years people have been asking their employers if they can work from home, now many are begging to come back.
During this pandemic companies sent many workers home to their couches, while essential workers are still reporting for duty. Now, states are reopening and companies are facing the surprising dilemma of people who want to come back to the office.
These are people who find their home spaces too small to do the job they need to do. In some cases, they have multiple roommates who make it impossible to hold important sales calls. In other cases, they’re used to using multiple screens instead of the small laptop they have at home.
According to Quartz At Work, some employees are starting to petition their bosses and laying out the reasons they need to stop working from home as soon as possible.
Now companies are reviewing those petitions to see who they can safely bring back and when. This will include certain changes such as social distancing and more office cleaning, but it sounds like some workers are now ready and willing.
