You might be easy to work with, but are people taking advantage of that? I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

According to a paychex survey, 77% of people feel taken advantage of at work. But how can you tell if it’s a one-off, nothing personal or if people are walking all over you? To help you out the recruitment platform Hive.com has seven signs you are being taken advantage of at work. For example, your relationships with your coworkers aren’t give-and-take. Your coworkers are always around when they need a favor, and usually you help them out. But if they are nowhere to be found when you need some assistance, and if this is a repeat occurrence then the relationship is off kilter. Or people don’t ask if you’re busy anymore. If coworkers or your manager start assigning you tasks without asking if you have time to do it, it means they just assume you will. If they keep coming by to gossip or vent, they also don’t respect your time. For more signs go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com. Avoid being a doormat. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
