Sometimes life can be hard, so make it work for you. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

The middle of a big project or presentation is not the time for your technology to quit on you. And sometimes you don’t have the time, energy or patience to run to the store and pick up a replacement. So, to help you in these situations USA Today has ten tech hacks everyone should master. For example, you’re on a deadline and your wireless mouse just died. Or you need to keep the kids quiet for ten minutes and their favorite toy stopped working. The problem, you’re out of double-a batteries. Here’s the tech hack. If you have triple-a batteries use those, fold up a small piece of aluminum foil and use it to fill the gap. It will act as a conductor in place of the larger battery. Or your microphone isn’t working, no problem. Plug your headphones into the microphone jack of your computer and start recording. For more tricks to get you through your next crisis go to banmilleronbusiness.com. if you can’t beat it, hack it. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
