Spotting a Bad Boss
Listen Now: Spotting a Bad Boss
It can be easy to spot a bad job, but what about a bad boss? I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
The job interview isn’t just a time to figure out what you’ll be doing and how much you’ll be making. But who will be your boss? And in many cases, who you’re working for can make or break the entire experience. So why not know what you’re getting into? To help spot a bad boss the website LifeHacker.com put together a list of common red flags that usually mean a bad supervisor. For example, they’re negative. Think twice about anyone who trashes competitors, other applicants, or complain about the company during the interview. Something else to watch out for, showing up late. Everyone runs late, this isn’t always a sign of a bad boss but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t respect your time. So, if they don’t apologize for being late, or it continues to happen it doesn’t look very professional. For more red flags to watch out for go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com. You aren’t the only one being interviewed. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
