According to a recent Gallup poll 19% of people say they’re miserable at work and 60% say they feel detached from their roles and responsibilities. While most workers never let people know they’re miserable, Fast Company reports you should be speaking up. And there are ways to do it without fear of repercussions. According to Fast Company there are ways to tell your boss you are unhappy. First, write down your talking points. Figure out what you want to say and potential answers you might receive. A few bullet points will help you stay on track. Next, stay calm. Don’t let your nerves and frustration get the best of you. Talk about your emotions but don’t put them on display. And check your body language, you don’t want to come across as aggressive or upset. Stay positive and be open to what your boss has to say.
