Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Your mail carrier is responsible to deliver your online items, letters from loved ones and getting bills to you on time–and you can help.

The USPS has come under fire for the past few weeks, thanks to threats of budget cuts and mailboxes being locked shut. And while people wait for their mail, postal workers are feeling the pain.

So a thread of Reddit posed a question to mail carriers: “How can we brighten your day when we see you on your route?” The responses came in fast and furious. According to the job site indeed.com, postal workers make about $17 an hour–and they’re not asking for much more.

The responses include things such as cold drinks because their trucks don’t have air conditioners. Others asked customer to make their address clearly visible from the street and turn on porch lights for evening deliveries.

One of the most popular responses was a thank you note–a few words of kindness left in the mailbox.

Your mail might be signed and sealed, but it still has to be delivered.
