Think a job is too good to be true? Take a close look at the posting. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

According to Fast Company when it comes to jobs it’s a sellers market. There are fewer jobs available now than a few months ago. And more red flags. According to Fast Company that includes the copy and paste posting. Did you notice part of a sentence is missing or there is a job skill listed as a requirement that doesn’t seem to fit? This can happen when recruiters are stretched too thin so they find a description they’ve written before, then copy it on the post they’re trying to fill. This could suggest the company doesn’t really care about who they hire or they don’t have enough resources. Then there’s the “vague about flexibility” ad. If there is nothing in the posting about hybrid work or working from home, chances are they don’t offer it. Then it’s up to you to bring it up in the interview. For more red flags to avoid, go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com. It’s tough out there, be careful where you apply. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
