Everyone appreciates a good job perk, even if that job is out of this world. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Recently the International Space Station received a special delivery. A shipment of supplies that included fresh apples, tomatoes and kiwi, a cheese smorgasbord and pizza for seven. The Northrop Grumman delivery was its sixteenth supply run and its biggest load yet. It took off from Virginia’s eastern shore last Tuesday and reached the international space station a few days later.  Besides the food there was a mounting bracket for new solar wings that will be coming up next year. A material simulating moon dust and dirt that will be used to create items from the space stations 3-D printer. Slime mold for a French educational experiment with the name Blob and finally, an infrared-detecting device meant as a prototype for future tracking satellites. Another cargo run will be heading up in weeks. Right now the I-S-S is home to three Americans, two Russians, one French and one Japanese citizen. No word on what will be in the next cargo ship but I think pizza will be hard to top. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
