Your summer vacation is now a little easier to navigate. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
Recently, Italy and Greece announced they are relaxing some Covid-19 restrictions ahead of the peak summer tourist season. A sign that life is getting back to normal, and that countries are eager to welcome travelers and their money. Greece announced it was lifting all covid rules for international and domestic flights except for the wearing of masks during flights and at airports. This means no proof of vaccination or a negative test is required. Visitors to Italy no longer have to fill out the EU passenger locator form, a process that was holding things up at airport check-in. Italy also did away with the health pass that had been required to enter restaurants and other venues. It is still required to access hospitals and nursing homes. Mask mandates were also lifted for a lot of places with the exception of public transport, hospitals and nursing homes. Greece also suspended its restrictions on the number of customers at indoor spaces but masks are still required. Break out those passports, Europe is open for business. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
