Meaningful Relationships
Listen Now: Meaningful Relationships
It’s not what you know, but who you know. So, make it count. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
The people you work with can become lifelong friends, a mentor or someone who can help advance your career. So it’s a good idea to make relationships with people you spend your working hours with meaningful. So how do you go about doing it? According to MSN Money there are a few tips to make solid connections at work. For example, put some effort in with everyone. It doesn’t matter if they’re the head of the company or the janitor. Treat everyone the same. This can be tough if you don’t see them often or work side-by-side everyday but a smile and using their name when you say hello can go a long way. Next, give your full attention. There are many things to distract you, especially at work. But make the effort to stop what you’re doing and be present in the moment with someone. Everything else can wait. For more tips to build meaningful relationships at work go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com and watch that pay off. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
