Listen Now: Welcome To 2019: Marshall’s To Finally Go High Tech
A popular discount store is going high tech. Finally.
After years of just brick and mortar shopping, Marshalls is now joining the rest of the world online. According to its CEO, the store will launch later this year and feature different products than you find in store.
He says he looks at the online store as a complementary feature to its more than one thousand stores nationwide. Marshalls sister store T.J. Maxx launched an online store seven years ago and also offers different products than the store.
The CEO says that site launch has been successful and worked out well for the company. He says it also drives up traffic to the stores because if people buy an item online they don’t like, they can return it in person. And while there, they might do a little shopping among the racks.
While the products might vary, both the online and brick and mortar store will feature clothes, home goods and accessories. And the debut of the online store does not mean Marshalls plans to close any locations. Welcome to the internet.
