Businesses are fine tuning their work from home policies–and one of the biggest companies in the world might have the secret to success.

Recently, Google announced it’s extending its work from home policy until July of 2021. To help employees and the company remain on top, Google has several recommendations to keep things consistent.

According to inc.com, there are nine key ideas that other companies can emulate. For example, make team meetings a priority. In a company statement, Google says team meetings might be the only interaction you have with your team, so you should schedule them and make them a priority even if there isn’t anything urgent to discuss.

Virtual meetings give you some socialization, plus it’s a chance to get emotional cues from people and build rapport with teammates. Just don’t schedule too many meetings–people do have to work to do.

Next, show personal interest in people. Have a virtual lunch together and ask open-ended questions.

Keep your business running even if the office is closed.
