Good manners play a big part in the holidays, even when it comes to finances. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

The holiday season, filled with friends, family and shopping. Either for yourself or your loved ones a lot of things are exchanged over the next few months. And while it is always a good time to receive a present and give one in return, the whole event can easily take an unfortunate turn. According to MSN Money there are three rude money related questions that will quickly turn you into the least welcome guest at any social event. For example, asking “Where did you buy this?” It’s a question that raises an immediate red flag because it suggests you are looking to return it. Don’t ask this question. And if you don’t want someone asking it, always include a gift receipt. Avoid asking “Can you guess how much this costs?” It’s not polite to discuss how much you spent and put the attention on you. For the most important question to avoid, go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com. Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
