Bad Managers
Listen Now: Bad Managers
Think you have a bad manager, be on the lookout for a few key things. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
It takes a good leader to help workers and businesses succeed. Unfortunately, there are instances where the wrong person is placed in the wrong job. So how can you tell a bad seed from a good one? According to inc.com there are five bad management traits and habits that keep popping up that are a good indicator of which direction things will go. For example, micromanaging. People who dominate people below them and manage all the decisions will derail morale. When managing people is less about control and more about encouraging freedom and growth, then employees become stronger. Or someone who squashes the ideas of others. Someone who says they want a creative culture and then kills any new ideas or sabotages the process. Instead, managers should support workers and help their ideas grow from the bottom up. For more bad manager traits to look out for go to BanmillerOnBusiness.com. The team is only as strong as its weakest link, so find it. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
