For example, make no more than three main points. According to Inc.com humans can only keep three to five items stored at one time in our short-term memory. This means don’t overload people with information so they come away from your presentation with no idea of what was said. So, narrow down what you want to say to three main points. The rule of three is a familiar one in the world of communication and ensures people are retaining what you’re saying.
