Ben and Jerry’s is going to the dogs. I’m Bian Banmiller on business.
The ice-cream giant known for getting creative with its flavors is rolling out two new flavors. But these are just for dogs. The desserts are called Pontch’s mix and Rosie’s batch. Both have a sunflower-butter base and are named after two real dogs from Ben and Jerry’s family. The Vermont headquarters is a dog-friendly workplace. In a pre-pandemic world, you could find about forty pups curled up under their owner’s desks. As for the flavors. Ponch’s mix is a swirled peanut-butter and pretzel concoction while Rosie’s batch includes pumpkin and mini cookies. The ingredients are the same found in all ben and jerry’s ice-cream recipes. The company says either treat is perfect for your pup after a long walk or a playdate with one of their four-legged friends. They will be sold individually in mini cups or in a multipack and available across the country. The company says it knows its ice-cream fans love their dogs and treat them like family. And who doesn’t love sharing a little ice-cream with their best friend? Brian Banmiller, CBS news.
