A discovery in an attic is paying off big. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Back in December a building in Geneva, New York was sold. And in a concealed attic space was a rare framed photograph of Susan B. Anthony. The photo was taken by photographer James Ellery Hale in 1905, just months before her death. It was selected by the Susan B. Anthony memorial association as her official photograph. The framed copy found in the attic is one of only four thought to be in existence. Now that photo is being auctioned off at a starting price of five thousand dollars. A second version of the same photo that is not framed is also being auctioned as well as pictures of other historical figures. The new building owner says the discovery was made when he noticed water damage in the ceiling on the third floor after he bought it. Above that he found the secret drop ceiling with the items inside. He says it looks like someone set up an entire photography studio and then sealed it shut. Talk about real estate being a good investment. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
