A Post-Pandemic Future

We can almost see the corner we’ve been waiting to turn—but what does our post-pandemic future look like?

When most of us are vaccinated and allowed to pack more than two people in a large room, will workers go back to the office? To find the answer, Future Forum by Slack conducted a three-month survey of 9,000 workers worldwide. Future Forum then gave Fortune magazine exclusive access to the information.

Here’s what they found. 27% of workers say they would never or rarely go back to the office. 39% want to go back and 34% are undecided.

But most people want some type of option. The survey found 48% of workers expect their employer to expand remote working policies and give them more options.

If you’re one of those not excited about the idea of an office environment, you’re in luck. 43% of hiring managers would consider a remote candidate on their team.

Another important point the survey found: 33% of workers report being burnt out. No doubt due to the corona virus.
