There’s a million dollar mansion for sale in Miami, and the seller? A German shepherd named Gunther the VI. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

The eight-bedroom, waterfront home is on the market for almost 32 million dollars. One of the former owners was Madonna. But these days the current owner spends his days playing with a tennis ball, rolling in the grass and napping. So how did a German shepherd become the proud owner of a Tuscan-style villa? It all started back in 1992 when a German Countess died leaving her fortune to her dog Gunther III. Since then, a group of handlers have helped maintain a jet-setting lifestyle for the succession of dogs that have come. And it’s a pretty decent lifestyle. Every morning Gunther enjoys a meal made with the finest meat, fresh vegetables and rice. He travels by private jet, works out with a trainer and sleeps in a velvet bed overlooking the water. Today, the dog’s trust is worth almost $500 million dollars. Besides real estate, the group managing it has even purchased sports teams including a men’s soccer team. It’s a dog’s life for me.
