Listen Now: 2020’s Highest Paying, Least Stressful Jobs
Working toward a six figure salary? Prepare for more stress.
US News and World Report recently released its list of best jobs for 2020. Then Marketwatch asked them to take a deeper dive to find out which jobs offered the best pay of six figures with the least amount of stress.
Turns out, there aren’t many. According to US News and World Report there was only one job that fit that criteria: an orthodontist. They make about two hundred and twenty-five thousand a year, have very set hours and few emergencies.
And the bad news continues. There were fewer than ten high-paying jobs with an average level of stress. Those included dentist, political scientist, podiatrist, optometrist, software developer, actuary and mathematician. No surprise that those are also some of the best jobs of the year.
Besides money and peace of mind they also have higher rates of employment and a better work-life balance. This means the more money you make the more stress you are going to have to deal with.
Or you can afford to pay someone else to deal with it.
