I-hop is taking another crack at getting people through its doors. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.
When you think of I-hop, what’s the first thing your mind serves up? Most likely it’s a steaming pile of pancakes. But for the past few years, I-hop has been doing what it can to add lunch and dinner customers to its breakfast crowd. In twenty eighteen it temporarily changed its name to I-hop to promote a new line of burgers. And it paid off, the stunt quadrupled the restaurant’s burger sales. After that, it added more items featuring chicken to the menu. And this past September was the launch of I-hoppy hour which offered a value menu for anyone who showed up between two and ten p-m. Now the chain is going in a whole new direction, south of the border. At locations across the country, you can find bowls or burritos with six styles of toppings ranging from breakfast to southwest chicken. The new dishes start at just under six dollars and can be made to-go. A feature much needed during a pandemic when they don’t offer a drive-thru. Brian Banmiller, CBS news.
