We all have extra time on our hands. Why not use it to boost your bank account?

Furloughs, closures, cancelled plans, whatever the reason—our weekends are a bit freer now. So why not use the extra hours to your advantage?

To get you started, MSN Money has a list of 15 legal ways to being in a few extra bucks. All you need is an hour or two.

For example, stop paying too much for car insurance. If you aren’t shopping around every six months, you could end up throwing away more than a $1000 a year. And if you don’t want to shop around yourself, there are websites that will do the heavy lifting for you. Just answer a few questions and then choose the best quote.

Or maybe there’s money just waiting to be found. According to MSN Money, Americans have more than $40 billion in unclaimed funds waiting for them. Find out if you are one of them.
