Scott Mautz is an author who left the corporate world and a steady paycheck for the unsteady income of an entrepreneur. During that time he says he found that being financially successful doesn’t always mean having a big bank balance.
So he came up with six questions, and if you answer “yes” to even one of them you’re doing just fine. For example you don’t fight over money with your spouse. If you argue more over dishes than finances you’re doing alright. Especially because this means you and your partner have a plan that is working for both of you.
Another question to ask. Do you spend for needs and save for wants? This doesn’t mean only buy things necessary for your survival; it means telling the difference between when to use your emergency savings or credit cards and when to wait until you can afford something.
