Successful Failures

Successful FailuresFired from your job? Don’t worry, you’re in good company.

Getting let go can certainly feel like a setback but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is. So to make you feel better about yourself, MSN Money has the story of fifteen successful people who say getting fired was the best thing that ever happened to them.

For example, Walt Disney was fired from a Mississippi newspaper for not being creative enough and one of his early ventures, a studio called Laugh-o-Gram, went bankrupt. Now his estate’s net worth is one billion dollars and he holds the record for the most oscars won by an individual with twenty two.

Billionaire Mark Cuban was fired from his first job out of college because he disobeyed an order to stay at the office and not chase a sale. He was fired even after returning with a check for ten thousand dollars after making the sale. That was the last time Cuban worked for someone else.

To see who else turned failure into success, check out the original article on MSN Money. Sometimes you just need to start over.
