Investing in higher education, make sure it pays off. I’m Brian Banmiller on business.

The online news website stacker recently published a list of the top college majors to make your salary jump from the beginning of your career to the middle of it. It also found some people deciding to pass on college for a year because of the cost, the pandemic, and the competition. But according to stacker the benefits of a degree outweigh the detriments. So if you want to make sure your four years of hard work pay off consider these college majors. Number five on the list is biochemistry. At the start of your career, you’ll make around forty thousand a year. A few years later that will double. The unemployment rate is just under two percent which means help is wanted. Next up, chemical engineering. You start out around sixty-eight thousand and can expect your salary to jump to one hundred and ten thousand with a few years under your belt.
