Self Lacing ShoeLife is starting to imitate art; and it’s going to make all of us a little McFly. After a lot of pressure from movie lovers, Nike is releasing the self-lacing shoe worn by Marty McFly in Š—“Back to the Future II.” Called the Hyper Adapt 1.0, they will be in U.S. on November 28th; just in time for your holiday shopping. The futuristic sneaker will light up as soon as you slip your foot inside and a pressure sensor in the sole draws an arrangement of fishing line inside tighter. Two buttons on the front can adjust how loose or tight the shoe is, so essentially the laces on the shoe are just for decoration. One thing the movie didn’t tell us was how to keep the shoes tying themselves. Fortunately Nike has developed an answer to that one as well. Just like most of your high tech gadgets the shoes will have to be charged and Nike says a full charge will last about two weeks. Great scott, indeed!
