Unhappy Increase

Disney Price IncreaseThe happiest place on earth is a little less cheerful.

A few days ago, Disneyland and Walt Disney World quietly raised the price of tickets to the parks. Calling it an effort to reduce the crowds, the cost of some single-day tickets will go up nine percent.

The highest increase will be at Disneyland in Anaheim, which will see ticket prices rise from $124 to $135. In Florida at Walt Disney World, regular tickets are going up four dollars with peak tickets seeing a five dollar increase.

Disney also increased how much Florida residents will pay for annual passes to Disney World from $679 to$729. Most Disney fans had prepared for the increase since Disney has announced an increase every February for the past few years. But others say it’s too much and it’s nearly impossible for the average family to afford a trip to the park after airfare and hotel costs.

Guess you can always stand on the street to watch the fireworks.
