Leadership Skills

Leadership SkillsWant to know if you’re working for a good leader, there are five signs to look for.

“Leadership From The Core” trains people to improve their personal leadership skills and says there are five things that stand the test of time.

First, set your entire team up for success before you try to succeed on your own. Next, turn the original hierarchy upside down. Instead of the triangle with the CEO at the top and employees at the bottom, turn the triangle upside down with employees who directly serve the customer on top.

Next, recognize people for their personal and professional accomplishments. Instead of just congratulating someone on landing an account, wish them a happy birthday or congratulate them on their engagement.

You should also bring your team together a few times a month outside the office for team building activities that will help build morale and appreciation for one another.

Finally give your employees freedom to live a balanced life. This might mean working from home and altering hours. Some of the top companies that follow these guidelines? Nike, Trader Joe’s and Southwest.
