Feel like you’re wasting a lot of your own time, you may be right. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

There’s a lot of tips and tricks to help you better manage your time. All in order to become a little more productive. But according to Forbes the best thing you can do for yourself is track your time. Forbes found that 41% of people say that less than half of their time is spent on work that adds any value. Which basically means, a lot of people are doing work that is pretty much pointless. This can be anything from doing work that’s already been completed but you feel the need to redo or going to a meeting that could have been an email. So according to Forbes the key to fixing this is by tracking everything you do during the day and finding one or two of those non-value-adding activities. Then just stop doing them. Or if it’s hard to go cold turkey, try to postpone them or make sure they are not a priority in your day. It’s your time, make sure you’re spending it wisely. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
