Disney for Dollars: These VHS Tapes Could Net You Thousands

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Time to clean out those closets again, there could be some money hiding back there.

A few weeks ago I reported that one of the more popular toys of the nineties, the Beanie Baby could fetch you a pretty penny. Now it turns out your old VHS tapes of some classic Disney movies could also boost your bank account.

Even though it’s hard to find a video player, the actual tapes are still in high demand by collectors on ebay. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” a movie that came out in 1937, recently sold for $7,500.

“Beauty and The Beast” was sold for just under $5,000 and the tape was used but still in good condition. “The Little Mermaid” is selling for right around the $5,000 mark.

“Mulan” is on the market for $3,500 with “Aladdin” bringing in about a thousand bucks. Now a lot of these movies such as “Aladdin,” “The Lion King” and “Mulan” are being made into live action versions which is increasing interest even more.

Happy hunting.
