A couple in Maine is celebrating their state and it could make you twenty thousand dollars richer. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Kurt and Kelly Stokes of newcastle created a treasure hunt designed to celebrate Maine’s two-hundred years of statehood. For the past three years they have been exploring and photographing locations around the state to create and elaborate a game of hide-and-seek. Kurt says they wanted to celebrate Maine by getting people out of the house, out of their town and seeing parts of the state they never knew existed. But you’re going to have to be ready to put the work in. Besides traveling around the state, the game also involves solving a secret, a riddle and a puzzle. To begin the hunt, you will need to buy a deck of cards or flash cards for either twenty or forty dollars. No word on whether shelling out the extra bucks gives you a leg up. One dollar from each sale goes to the Maine Cancer Foundation. The couple said the quest for the treasure is legal, ethical and environmentally responsible. All mixed with a little fun.
