There’s a billionaire race to space and one man is taking the lead. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos says he will be taking a trip to space next month. He and his brother Mark will be passengers when Blue Origin, the rocket company he founded more than twenty years ago, conducts its first human spaceflight. Bezos says he has dreamed of traveling to space since he was five years old. He predicts he will be a new man after his journey because the trip out of this world will change his relationship with the planet and humanity. So who else is in the running for the stars? You have Elon Musk and Space X which has missions scheduled in the next year with private citizens. One will be a trip to orbit and the other will take people to the International Space Station. Musk has not announced plans to join them but says he hopes to go to mars one day. In 2004 Richard Branson founded Virgin Galactic with dreams of going to space. That wish may come true later this year. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
