There’s a new administration overseeing the vaccine rollout, but will it make a difference? I’m brian banmiller on business.

The Trump administration received much criticism for the slow and disorganized vaccine rollout. Now President Biden’s team is taking over the playbook. But according to San Francisco bay area doctor Rebecca Parish there’s one glaring problem.

“well, I think there’s a real disconnect between the people who are making the decisions and the people who are actually in the business of taking care of people. And I’ve heard politicians say that they felt the issue was the urgent need to certify more people able to give the vaccine. There are plenty of people who are certified and willing and able to give the vaccine. The problem has been getting the vaccine to give. So comments like that show me that they seem to really not be in touch with what actually is going on here on the ground.”

Doctor parish has been working overtime with scores of volunteers to get eligible people vaccinated while cutting through the bureaucratic red tape that is slowing down vaccine distribution. Brian banmiller, CBS news.
