The Return Process

Walmart is helping with your holiday returns—and taking on Amazon in the process.

Walmart is partnering with FedEx on a new returns process for the holiday season and the weeks to follow. The program allows customers to start a return online or in the app.

The item you are returning can either be picked up at your home at a scheduled time or dropped off at a FedEx location. Any item bought and shipped by the store’s website is eligible to be sent back through FedEx.

And if you prefer the personal touch, you can start the return process online, then bring the item to your nearest store. Refunds will be applied the same day if you return to a store the next day for everything done online.

This is very similar to the setup Amazon has with UPS. Just another way the retail chain is attempting to compete with the online giant.

Walmart says 2020 has been a different year with lots of online shopping. This means returns are more likely, and now they’re more than ready to accept them.
