Tesla For Dogs: Musk Teases ‘Dog Mode’ For New Models

by | Oct 29, 2018

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Tesla’s next model… could be going to the dogs.

Last week Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, announced a new, lower-cost Tesla model 3. Soon after, people took to Twitter to pitch some features they would like to see on the next rollout, and it seems one might have stuck out.

Composer Josh Atchley, one of Musk’s 23 million followers, suggested a dog mode for the car. The feature would allow the radio and air conditioner to stay on even if the car was off. This would keep pets cool and safe if you run into a store.

The mode would also include a display of the temperature inside the car and a message that reads “I’m fine, my owner will be right back.” This will keep any concerned bystanders from breaking your window or calling the police, thinking your pet was in danger.

In response to the idea, musk tweeted back “yes.” While this isn’t exactly a guarantee, experts say musk can be unpredictable so they wouldn’t be surprised to see the feature included and appealing to animal lovers everywhere.
