New Study Says Lazy Team Members Kill Productivity by 24%

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Keep getting picked last for the team? Step up your game.

According to a new study by leadership training experts, unproductive team members can hurt the group’s overall performance by twenty four percent. Ninety percent of those surveyed said when someone on the team messes up it affects trust, customer service and morale.

Researchers behind the study say working as a team is a fragile dynamic. They say relying on other people for a project that could affect your paycheck adds an extra layer of stress.

So how do you make sure you’re a good team member? Write things down, take notes, use an app, whatever helps you remember things. This will lessen the chance of you letting down your teammates.

If you’re the team leader make it clear who is in charge of what and when it needs to be done. Be respectful to each other and divide up any surprise tasks that might pop up.

Finally, make it ok to say “no” and don’t be afraid of it. Admitting you can’t do something is better than not doing it at all.
