Starbucks’ Holiday Offers Looking Sweeter Than Ever

by | Nov 12, 2018

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Starbucks is spreading the holiday spirit and they’re hoping the extra cheer pays off.

On November 2nd, Starbucks began serving its annual holiday drinks, a date much earlier than past years.

And this year the deal is a little sweeter, because the coffee giant is also offering a free reusable holiday cup, to anyone who purchases a specialty drink. Bring it back all season long and you can get fifty cents off grande holiday drinks after 2PM. And it looks like the scheme is working.

When the deal was announced the cups quickly sold out in stores and online. In fact there was so much traffic to the app that it crashed which left regular customers, looking for their daily fix, less than pleased with the company.

Things are also looking good for investors; shares were up as much as 12% on the day of the promotion. Now the company will wait to see if the gimmick can stick.

Last year’s holiday drinks didn’t sell so well. Maybe the reusable cup, a gift that keeps on giving, will do the trick.
