Listen Now: Riding with Beyoncé
Peloton is partnering up with Beyoncé—and everyone wants to take a ride.
Peloton and Beyoncé are joining forces to provide members with a workout for a cause. Beyoncé is producing exclusive content for the exercise platform, all to honor the homecoming season. This is an annual fall celebration for students at historically black colleges and universities.
The themed workouts will be offered in classes such as indoor cycling, running, bootcamp, yoga and meditation.
In addition, they are giving two-year Peloton digital memberships to students at these schools. That will give them access to the full library of Peloton classes even without the equipment. The special content is available on the Peloton app, which anyone can try for a free 30-day trial.
Besides members of the Beehive, the news was a win for Peloton, helping erase early losses and climbing almost 9% when the deal was announced. It also allowed the company to out-perform other stay-at-home stocks such as Amazon and Zoom.
Beyoncé is already one of the most requested singers among Peloton users. Now it’s paying off for everyone.
