1 in 3 Professionals Have Quit Their Job For This Reason

by | Sep 16, 2019

[xyz-ips snippet=”post-thumb-url”]Everyday people quit their jobs… and in many cases, there is one reason.

In a recent survey by FlexJobs, thirty percent of seven thousand people surveyed said they left their job because of one reason; it did not offer flexible work options. That’s about one third of workers threatening to quit because their employers won’t let them work from home, leave early or adjust their schedule.

And not just because people would rather wear sweats than a suit. The top four reasons people gave for wanting flexible hours is a healthy work-life balance, family, saving time and commute stress. It used to be people jumped in the car; went to work for eight hours and came home to a hot meal.

Thanks to technology we can do anything we need from virtually anywhere. We now have the power to connect to people all over the world without getting off the couch. And besides happy employees, flexible work options is good for companies as well.

A content employee is a lot more likely to give back than one just waiting to hit the door.
