A bad manager can ruin work culture, demoralize people and create a toxic environment for every worker. According to Forbes, you can pick this person out of a crowd by nine key phrases. If they utter any of them in a job interview, feel free to thank them for their time and continue the hunt.
For example, mistakes were made. When someone says this, they’re not only refusing to take responsibility, they’re even refusing to identify what the mistake was. Using this phrase shows everyone there will be no accountability for what went wrong.
Another clear sign of a bad leader: someone who says “see, I was right.” This makes someone look weak because it makes them look small. When you say this, everyone around you is thinking “what a petty person.” People who make a point to highlight how right they are, have a need to feel superior and are generally insecure about everything.
