Listen Now: Pet Problems: Why 65% Lie To Boss About Taking Pet To Vet

According to a poll by Fuzzy Pet Health, sixty five percent of two thousand people surveyed lied to their boss about taking their pet to the vet. And whether they called in sick or left the office early that, 65% percent said it’s because they didn’t think their boss would consider it a valid excuse.
In addition, 39% say they will take a vacation day to care for a pet while 27% will work from home. The people behind the poll say work was just one area where people proved how valuable our four-legged family members really are.
So important, we are also willing to brush off commitments and people. The same survey found three in ten pet parents have even flaked on their human friends to spend more time with their furry ones.
A veterinarian quoted in the study says not having enough time to spend with their four-legged friends is one of the biggest problems pet owners face. Playing hookie may help.
