Want to build a strong team, offer them money to leave. I’m Brian Banmiller on Business.

A record number of people have quit their jobs or considering some type of change. Hoping to keep people in their jobs, companies have been offering incentives, bonuses and perks. But according to Business Insider one company is taking a whole different approach. Trainual is a software company in Arizona that helps small businesses train and scale teams. But when it comes to his own team, the company CEO pays them to quit. He says after two weeks he offers workers $2,500 to quit. He says giving people a financial incentive and the power to “fire the company” makes them feel powerful. Anyone who turns it down wants to commit and is usually a better worker. He says the logic behind the two-week window before making the offer is so there is little disruption and employees have an idea of what they’re getting into. Since starting the offer no one has taken him up on it, so he’s raised it to $5,000. No word on the result. Brian Banmiller, CBS News.
